Be the leader people are looking for! Begin being the person people on your team want to do 3-ways with. Don’t position your sponsor as the leader of your business when it must be you! You will in no way grow a business unless you establish your own credibility as a leader. It is your expertise that people are searching for. They will and must be able to trust you and no one else.
Action Step #5 – Get Folks To Visit Your Capture Page
Your business will not grow unless you get your target audience to your site. If your web site was a store in the middle of the desert, how will you get thirsty men and women to discover it? No not those, these….Desire, Drive, and Determination!
Being part of a great team is also important. So are some tips on what is required to be that success. Feel free to share this post with anyone on your team, because the only way to truly make a lot of money in this industry is help each team member become a great network marketing mentor as well. My goal is to create as many Ten Thousandaires as possible. Yes that’s ten thousand a month….not a year.
Tip #1:
Be a leader not a follower. Show your team how to take action by actually taking action yourself. Even if you’re not certain what you’re doing, you must be willing to attempt certain things to show your team that it’s OK to go into the unknown. The best way to get your team to take action is to continue contacting, explaining the power of Network Marketing and teaming up with new people every month. Lead by example, and don’t expect your team to do things that you yourself are not doing.
Tip #2:
Don’t be a babysitter. Never give your team members any expectations that you will be hovering over them to make sure they’re getting their work done and producing. This is not a job, and you are not their boss. We are all independent entrepreneurs, and 1 of the reasons we got in this industry is because we’re psychologically unemployable…or at least I am LOL. We don’t want to have a boss, which means we also don’t want babysitters for mentors. The thing is that most people in the beginning are too accustomed to having a boss, which means you have to set the expectation immediately that you will be here to support them as a great network marketing mentor when they need your help, and that you will not be calling them to make sure they’re getting their work done. The must call you.
Tip #3:
Point your team at tools and resources. Again you have to remember that we all must develop independent leadership by developing the proper skill set to make serious money in this industry. So assisting your team members to form the habits required is key! If someone contacts you with a question that they can easily find the answer to on Google, tell them to Google it themselves. If they contact you with support issues, tell them to contact support. If they can get the information they’re looking for in a training video, then you shouldn’t be wasting 1-on-1 time teaching them something. This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t assist your team or coach your team, of course you must. We all have the same time in a day, and in order to be respectful of your time they should form the habit of doing independent search. When you teach them this habit, they too will be able to pass it on to their team, and that’s what will allow more time-freedom in all of our lives.
We all must form habits that you want your team to form so that both you and your team can make more money in less time. This is the key to being a great network marketing mentor. If you don’t have a mentor that’s pushing you like this, then you should certainly surround yourself with someone that will. That’s what I did when I got started. I surrounded myself with the right people and so should you.

Develop a 90-day goal to create the grandest, most energetic “get the word out” campaign as you can possibly imagine. Talk to at least 50 people per week? Absolutely! You can do it. During the course of your normal day, do you think you see 7 people, online or offline, who may want to earn extra money? I’m sure you do. If you did this for 13 weeks spanning
over the next 90 days, you would be talking to well over 600 people.
WOW that’s a lot of people! And think of this, how much time and effort do people put into their career between college, working, gaining experience and then hoping to get that promotion? Decades in some cases!
What are we talking about here? Just 90 days!
90 days of speaking with 50 people per week on average.
Remember, every new team member begins by talking to someone. Every new leader in your organization began their new Network Marketing career with you, the moment someone began talking to them about your opportunity. And there has never been a better time to do so.
Just look at the people in your company who took massive action just a few short years ago. They are the top leaders now….aren’t they? You have an even greater opportunity now, with the way Network Marking is becoming mainstream and so accepted as an additional income stream and career. All it takes is finding 2 or 3 good leaders who catch the vision as you have.
So make it a goal….talk to at least 50 people per week about your financial opportunity (if you don’t have one let me know) and you’ll be well on your way to making your vision for business in 2011 a reality.

How do you build a financially successful business around yourself and your loved ones in Network Marketing while dealing with today’s financial and economic challenges? Here are five key ideas for creating financial peace.
1. Realize That This IS Your Shot
Start with the intention of building a multimillion dollar enterprise, knowing that there will be lots of presentations and training before the results reach your bank account. It takes time to build momentum.
2. Realize That Momentum is Created In Stages
First, you must grow and support your initial team through weekly getting started meetings and a monthly big meeting with other leaders which will allow the team to better organize for next month’s activities. And if you have a local group this fires things up like that of a NASCAR race car getting ready for pole time trials!
Next assist your initial group to build a national group. Who on your team knows someone in the next major city or state/province? Invite those people to webinars (that’s what I teach….and if you don’t have a webinar room you deserve to have one. This is the best and most affordable) or conference calls or even live events. Once you have 15-20 people in that new city you may want to just work with them as a team to build their local market. If you are close enough you may even want to build up to an event in that area.
Next it’s time to go global. Find out who has contacts in a country that your company just opened or will be opening soon. Get in touch with these contacts and begin building rapport. Perhaps you’ll want to have them plug in to your webinars and training….so they can do the same with their contacts. This is a way to pre-build an international team that can explode your Network Marketing business.
3. Establish A Daily Method Of Operation
This is what your work day looks like. How many three-way calls did you schedule today? How many new prospects are you talking to daily? How many people did you invite to a webinar presentation? How many people confirmed they were attending? How many prospects are you personally following up with? How many new team members are you assisting with setting up their marketing system?
If you’re building solely online, you may want to track…How many capture pages are you building today? How many new contacts are you making in each of your social media sites? Where are you advertising your links today…etc.

4. Assume Responsibility for your Financial Success
The most successful people in Network Marketing don’t make excuses, they make things happen. Here are some ideas for you to make things happen….
* Sponsor Continuously – As a top leader myself, I am always bringing in new people. Don’t be afraid to ask your leaders when the last time was that they personally sponsored/enrolled a new member to the team.
* Stay Strong – Instead of worrying about what your company may lack, lead with the positives – your support team, your products, your rewarding compensation plan, your system for success and your personal commitment to their success.
* Communicate Directly – Explain to your team they must sponsor on a regular, consistent basis to find the right people to grow their team. Even part-time Network Marketers must attend conference calls, Webinars, team trainings and company events to grow and learn the business correctly. Remember, education is constant in our business. The money flows in as the distributor base grows. This becomes exponential as you development leaders on your team.
* Focus On Results – Keep track of the number of people you talk to or contact in order to sponsor a new team member. Meaning 50% of the people you speak to will listen to you. 50% of those people will commit to attending a live webinar or go to a presentation website. 50% of those people will actually answer the phone when you call them back to follow up. And 50% of those people will actually partner with you. So what does this mean? Well if you want to sponsor 2 new team members a week (8 per month which is highly recommended) you’ll have to understand the math and the simple formula….TINA.
TINA = There Is No Average
To sponsor 2 per week: 8 to presentation, 16 invited, and 32 actually spoken to.
Hmmmm…..are you willing to do those numbers to change your life?

5. Leaders Are Not Just Born…They Are Created
By understanding what is required to be a leader, and actually becoming one. You’ll be able to create leaders on your team. Step up to the plate and start swinging. Get some team members on the bases. Load them up and hit that home run for a grand slam. By you being a leader and swinging the bat (doing the red button activities above), your team members will do the same.
Your team members will do what you do or less. Seldom will they do more!

INVITATION
Knowing how to invite potential business partners is the most critical step, yet it is also the skill brand new Network Marketers most tend to fail at.
Why?
Because instead of simply inviting, new Network Marketers approach everyone with a pitch! And after a 30min in your face lecture of their company’s amazing history and their products out of this world benefits. Everyone on the warm list has said NO and the new person is seriously discouraged and maybe even ready to quit!
And guess what….none of that would have happened if they knew how to invite.
Inviting is NOT presenting! Successful inviting is polite, has boundries, and is always respectful of the prospect’s time and availability. People who successfully invite are good listeners (that’s why we have two ears and one mouth, so we can listen twice as much as we talk) and never make presumptions about their prospects. They ask questions and invite thier prospects to investigate a business opportunity. They never pitch!
PRESENTATION
If making effective presentations depends on the individual’s skill or talent, then let those who are good at presenting present. Delegation is empowering. Give people task to perform in their business by inviting to the presentations. Live presentations are best. You can also use a presentation tool. Taking the responsibility off the new team members to do presentations is key.
Most teams have excellent tools….CD’s, DVD’s, webinars, live events…..that give an effective professional presentation. This IS an essential component in any system that offers genuine equal opportunity.
FOLLOW-UP
Solid follow-up is where the business is really built…and it’s where your new team members have the greatest opportunity to learn the skills they need. Like many teams, we teach follow-up in the context of a three way call…between networker, prospect and support team member. The new team member gets to listen to a seasoned partner answer their prospect’s questions, which builds their own confidence level and ability to do the same for others on their team.
Teach your team members how to invite, use professional presentations and follow-up effectively….and they will be well on their way to success!

Employee or Entrepreneur? Which would you rather be?
Network Marketing / MLM is the business of the 21st century! It offers a worldwide network and global reach. It produces a fully scalable business that is easy to teach and produce serious results with. It develops strong effective leaders and creates genuine prosperity and wealth.
Imagine one day your boss says to you, “Bad news….we’re going to have to lay you off. The economy is down and business is bad.” How would that make you feel? Pretty down huh!
Then your boss adds, “And you know what….if you were to work just an extra hour every day….from 5pm to 6pm…Monday through Friday….for no extra pay….we’ll let you keep your job.” Hmmmmm what would you do? Most people wouldn’t even hesitate! Most people for sure would work an hour overtime for no pay to keep their job.
Then your boss really surprises you and says, “I know it’s still kinda bad news, but there is also some good news….for that one hour a day of overtime at no extra pay….we’ll let you retire if you make the commitment to stay focused and give us that extra hour everyd ay Monday through Friday….and better yet, we’ll let you retire after three years at full pay!”
Now all of a sudden you’re thinking….WOW….what an opportunity! Three years from now you can retire at full pay!
So what would happen?
You make the commitment, your focused, and about one year down the road one of your friends says…..”Why don’t you quit doing that? Geeze, you’ve been working an hour overtime every day and you’re not getting paid for it! You’re missing our golf times!”
You say to your friend, “No way! I only have two years to go and then I can retire.”
Now about eighteen months into your three year plan, your wonderful spouse says, “Instead of working that one hour of overtime every day, why don’t you spend some more time with your family? Your missing some of the kids activities!”
You say, “No…..just another year and a half and I can retire at full pay! Please support me on this…..I will be able to go to all the activities and be there for you and them 100%!”
So you continue to work Monday through Friday….one hour of overtime at no extra pay. You do this faithfully, even with all the negativity from friends and family. Your excited, you can see the light at the end of the tunnel! This opportunity is a blessing!
Well, this is exactly the opportunity we have in Network Marketing. We coach people to spend at least one hour a day Monday through Friday, building their business, and all you have to do is talk to people. Of course there is much to learn online, and having a proper system to plug in to makes all the difference.
Don’t worry about what to say or how good you are, because with practice you WILL get better. The longer you stay focused the more you will learn and grow.
Perhaps the first month you’ll think….”I don’t really know what to say…I’m nervous….actually I suck.” The second month you realize, “At least I know how to point people to more information.” The third month you are becoming more comfortable, “I think this is kinda neat.” And the fourth and future months you keep getting better and better.
Just invest an hour a day! At the end of three years, you will be pleasantly surprised and say, “I bet I can replace my full time income.”
