Why More People Aren’t Showing Up To Your Network Marketing Meetings

A frustrating thing happens to all network marketers is when you have several people who are suppose to show up to your local MLM meeting and none of them come! I remember getting incredibly frustrated at times because I would talk to these people on the phone and give them directions and make sure they knew when the meeting started and then they just never showed up!

I couldn’t believe how excited they would sound on the phone and then they wouldn’t show up and I would just be so baffled!

One thing I learned through all my frustration however is that it happens to pretty much everyone in the home based, party plan and network marketing arenas. I would see people who were much better marketers than me get stood up for meetings just as often as I would so I knew that it wasn’t about me personally. Still it can be frustrating and I wanted to cut back on the no shows as much as possible. So here are a couple tips that you can use to make sure more of your prospects show up for your local meetings.

 
Meet them beforehand

Instead of giving them the address and time of the meeting try meeting them a half hour before at a coffee shop or some place else. Give yourself a chance to meet them and let them meet you in a more relaxed environment. Coming into a meeting can be a little weird for some people. Having them meet you beforehand is more casual and they are more likely to come if they know it’s just going to be you. Then you can walk into the meeting together.

 
Call to confirm

If you set up an appointment earlier in the week make sure you call them the night before or even the afternoon of the meeting to make sure they’re still coming. That way you can know ahead of time if someone is planning on blowing you off. Also, your call will let them know that you care about them coming and it will make them feel important.

 
Give them a reason to come

Tell your prospect over the phone that you have someone who has a lot of experience in the business who you would love for them to meet if they come to the meeting. Introduce them to your business partner or someone who has had a lot of success and can answer their questions effectively. Sometimes letting them know that there is someone more knowledgeable than you at the meetings will encourage them to come because otherwise they might just want to play 20 questions with you on the phone.

Setting and Attaining Goals

In this blog post you are going to learn a system, that can and will assist you in setting and attaining your goals, this year and beyond if you choose to follow it.

Setting goals is simple. Just writing stuff on paper is Flim Flam….anyone can do that! Goal setting is just fluff. Goal attaining is the end result and that is what I like to focus on. So if you apply these 5 steps to goal attaining, you to can get yourself from where you are now to where you want to be in record time.

 

Step One – Clarify Your Vision

What do you really deserve? If you could be, do or have anything, what would you choose? More specifically, by the end of this year what is your number one goal you would like to focus on and attain?

Grab a blank sheet of paper right now, write “Dream List” at the top of it and write everything you think you want to and deserve to be, do or have. Let your imagination run wild and take all things into consideration like…..family, travel, income, vehicles, homes, lifestyle, accomplishments etc…..

From that list you will have some short-term goals and some long-term goals. Now it’s up to you to choose a couple of those dreams to focus on for the remainder of the year. If you were to fast-forward to the end of the year, what would you look back upon and be most proud of if you were to accomplish it by then?

 

Step Two – Always Believe

As long as your goal is in line with your skill set and vision, you must always believe by committing to that goal and taking the proper action steps achieve it, then you will attain it! It’s the law of cause and effect right…sowing and reaping will come into play. As long as you are not treking out (going where no man has gone before) and if you’re aware your goal is attainable by others as well…then it can be attained by you with the proper action!

 

Step Three – Identify and Align

By being part of my list or surfing to my site and just reading this blog post, you have shown you’re good at this step. Now you must take it one step further and identify as specifically as possible who has attained what you are working towards. Then align yourself with them as best you can!

Align yourself with e-books they have written or regular books, courses they provide, seminars they put on, plus any audio and video you can find about them and their journey. Plug in and get your questions answered. Especially this one…”How can I, in the most efficient and timely manner, get to where I am to where you are?”

 

Step Four – Commit to Massive Action

You must be willing to pay your dues…with some sweat equity…massive action! Depending on your skill set and the distance between where you are now and where you deserve to be, this action can take weeks to months to years to even decades depending on the specific goal. And you must prepare yourself for this.

When you study most successful people you will find that they were overnight successes that took 3-5-15 years going above and beyond what was expected, major commitment and massive action. You will also notice they didn’t allow set backs or failed attempts to stop them. They learned from their mistakes, picked themselves back up, and continued on by taking more massive focused action!

 

Step Five – Have Fun

Whenever you have a goal that lights your fire and becomes a serious burning desire to attain, it takes on a life of it’s own and the hours of working towards that goal….studying and working….seem more like fun than actual work.

If and when you have a goal you dread putting time or action into, because it feels like a job, re-evaluate the goal immediately. Zig Ziglar says it the best….”When you do the things you need to do, when you need to do them, the day will come when you can do the things you want to do, when you want to do them.”
