Facebook Marketing Tip – Using Groups
Facebook can sometimes be a little overwhelming when you first get started. Especially if you’re new to the idea of social networking.
People tell me that they are using facebook to help out their business, and now that they’re on it they have absolutely no idea what to do with it. Once you have set up your basic profile on facebook, one of the first things that you should do is join some groups. Groups are just a bunch of people who like or have an interest in the same thing. It can be a business or something silly. Groups range from just a few people to sometimes millions of people and anyone can start a group, which is why there are so many crazy ones out there.
Groups are a great way to meet people!
By relatiosnshipping with these new contacts, they will get to KLT you. Know you, Like you, and Trust you. Possibly even turning into prospects. You can start out by joining a group for your network marketing company or simply a group for internet marketers. Perhaps you want to join a gardening group or a group about basketball. Once you’re in the group you can friend request some of the people in that group, which will increase your friends count …. and that’s always a good thing. You can also start posting on their wall or start up a discussion on the group page. This is a great way to become more interactive, more noticed and more social on facebook.
You’re also not limited to any number of groups so feel free to join as many as you want.
Say you’re a network marketer who wants to focus on recruiting stay at home moms. Well in that case you could join a group or two for your network marketing company, or just a group on marketing in general and then you could join some groups that are created specifically for the stay at home moms. Building Your Business With Facebook: Interaction is KEY!
Facebook is an incredible opportunity for online marketers if you’re doing it right.
Facebook is a heavily trafficked website and it has people from all walks of life on it. So whoever you are trying to attract with your home based business they are going to be on facebook in droves. Facebook is great for stay at home moms, online marketers, content writers, MLMers, even grandparents are on facebook now.
With all that diversity there is no wonder that marketers have jumped on the facebook bandwagon. However, if you’re new to social networking you might not be using facebook to it’s full potential. Facebook is not like a website or a blog. It is not just a place to throw all of your information up there and hope that enough people look at it. Facebook is a social network and being social is very important. Once you have a lot of facebook friends your job is not done. You have to be interactive if you want to use facebook correctly.
Being interactive means commenting on the posts of your other friends. Add your own insight and ideas and start a conversation. Don’t be a facebook hermit who only posts content but never talks to anyone else. That is the power of facebook. It allows you to interact with the people in your life so if you’re not doing that and you’re just expecting people to look at your stuff you’re not using facebook the right way. People will be much more likely to visit your website or take a look at the things that you post if you first show them a little attention.
Also, make sure that when you are posting your own content you’re posting interesting things that are thought provoking or helpful. Youtube videos are great things to post on facebook and the right video will get you more attention than a status update sometimes simply because it draws your attention.
The more interactive you are on facebook the better relationships you will form and the more people will be willing to take a look at your business or website. Don’t be a facebook caveman and never come out, get chatting on other peoples walls and start connecting with people!

So what’s all the Hype about Article Marketing?
There are a many ways to market online and not all of them are going to be right for you. Some are awesome, some are just OK and some are a huge waste of time.
In this article I want to address one very good way of marketing online… and that’s utilizing article marketing. Article marketing is still one of the best and most tried and true methods of marketing online…..yet most people aren’t doing it. Why? I’m not sure! Article marketing works for EVERYONE and it’s free and simple. And just so you know, I only started marketing my articles this year. So is it too late for you? No way!
OK…..you say, you just don’t have the time to write a bunch of articles. I felt the same way, and now I am doing it almost daily!
There are lots of things that you can do if you don’t want to spend your time writing articles. First of all private label rights articles are all over the place and they can be amazing for the busy marketer. Home based business PLR (Private Label Rights) articles allow you to use the articles as your own, benefit from them and do absolutely none of the work. Just purchase the articles and you can re-brand them in any way you like. It’s like they are your own articles you just didn’t do any of the work to create them. Please note that PLR articles many times are sold over and over…..so publishing
them may not be a good idea……using them on your blog may be fine.
If you aren’t into content that was created by someone else you will need to write them for yourself. Which isn’t as hard as you might think. I like to write my own. You don’t have to be an expert writer or have the best skills on the planet. All you really need is a voice and something to talk about. You can write about anything that is meaningful to you or that you have knowledge about. I have seen people who didn’t think they could do it turn out some amazing and powerful articles.
Bottom line, article marketing just plain works! It is a great way to create consistent and targeted traffic to your website and it will work for anyone. You don’t need to have a million articles just a few good solid ones on the highest rated article sites and you’ll be on your way. Churn out one or two great articles every week and you’ll REALLY start to reap the rewards!

Google Adsense…..Good For Your Business or Not?
The Internet is such an amazing place, especially when you think about all the hundreds of Millions of people online today and those that are coming online. They surf, they blog, they tweet, they facebook, they buy, they sell, they network, they seek information and most of them look for ways to make money online.
Google Adsense is something that you’re going to be hearing a lot about if you’re new to internet marketing. Some marketers want nothing to do with it while other marketers can’t seem to get enough of it.
So should you be using Adsense to market your home based or online business or should you skip it all together?
My answer would be that I think it depends on your business and more importantly your budget. Some marketers have a small budget when they are just starting out in their business. Other people have much bigger budgets and other people have nothing to put towards marketing at all.
I would say that if you have a large budget for marketing you should probably give Adsense a try. After all why else would so many big name marketers be using it. However, if you have a small budget (or no budget at all) I would recommend that you skip it for now and do things that are free or at least very, very inexpensive.
Do not be fooled into believing that Adsense is the only way of effectively marketing online. You can market and get tons of great results for free using website and other techniques that don’t require anything at all.
Then once you have a little bit more money coming in from your business you might want to start thinking about doing something that costs a bit more money.
Don’t get me wrong…Adsense doesn’t have to be extremely expensive. It’s just that the more you spend on it the better your results. Many people have found that if they only have a small amount to spend they don’t get any results from their marketing and that’s just frustrating.
So, take my advice and do more free online marketing in the beginning. You can get good results and you won’t have to spend a dime to get them!

Network Marketing MLM is not about Hype, it’s about You
Being you is so important when you get started in your Network Marketing MLM career. Once you have mastered being you, then you will be able to move on to more amazing skills that will take you even further in your MLM career. Do I teach theses skills? You bet I do, and I look forward to sharing them with you!
Remember when you were a little boy or girl and your mom used to tell you that you were such a special person and that there was nobody else in the world like you? Well it’s true. And it’s what will separate you from the pack in network marketing. I don’t know why so many people in MLM or network marketing want to be like everyone else, and it just seems like some companies are full of clones. It’s like they think that if they copy the way a successful person talks, walks and dresses that they will somehow become successful too. Man that’s so naive!
I will admit that it’s a great idea to look at the people who are making the most money in your business and find out what you can learn from them. I want to stress the importance of just being yourself.
People for some reason love to do business with people who remind them of themselves. Stay at home moms love to work with other stay at home moms. 45 year old business professionals love to talk to people who are like them and young 20 somethings love to do business with other 20 somethings.
So when you are uniquely you, you will be attracting people just like you who want to work from home to. I believe that too often people try to recruit anyone and everyone. However, the truth is that if you just focus on the people who are like you you will have your own little niche and you will have success. Target the people who are most like you!
If you’re a little shy that’s ok. Not everyone in MLM has to be crazy outgoing and a type A personality. Just be yourself. Talk like you normally talk, dress how you normally dress and market in a way that feels right for you.
When you stop trying to be like everyone else and you start just being yourself you will have more success than any MLM clone out there could ever possibly have.

Working From Home Vs. Getting A Better Education
Yes I know, I hear it all the time also!
We are in tough economic times…… and now more than ever people are thinking about how they can make more money. Whether you’ve been downsized and let go from your job, you’ve been demoted, your income was cut or you just aren’t making enough working full time to pay all the bills. Well if you’re like most people, you’re looking for a way to make more money. And guess what….you are defiantly not alone.
One of the first things many people think of when they want a job or career that pays better is….better education….better pay. Going back to school is the answer! Most people are finding that it’s just not that easy to find a job that pays well without a degree and no matter their age they believe that going back to school is the best and sometimes only option.
Really?
“Formal education will make you a living; self-education will make you a fortune.” — Jim Rohn.
However, most people who find the home based business industry discover it’s much better and a more cost effective way to make more money. And instead of waiting for years to earn a degree you can start earning money from home in your first month. Will it be hard? Do you think going back to school is easy?

Do You Overcome or Just Give Up?
Waking up this morning and letting the dog out made me realize again (it’s nice to get those ball peen hammers right between the eyes every now and again) that no matter what….we must always overcome!
This is true in our professional lives and also true in our personal lives.
Living in the north, we don’t have all the big attractions that lager cities do….like huge malls, amusement parks etc. And Because of this, we have little travelling mid-ways that come through our city once or twice a year. Last night I took my daughter and one of her friends to enjoy the rides. While I was there, I kept getting all these stares, and realized it was because I was wearing shorts. Funny thing is I like to wear shorts all year long! I wear them in the house even in the cold winter. That’s just me……..and I guess because it was only a couple degrees outside Celsius about 30 or so degrees Fahrenheit, I got the looks.
Anyway, during the 4 hours or so that we were there I ran across some people I used to work with and who also used to work for me. It was quite refreshing to hear how disgruntled they were, and how unsure they were of their futures. Now I don’t mean to be non sympathetic, I say this to be clear.
You make your future! You determine your path! You create your retirement!
One of these gentlemen shared with me how poorly the bargaining was going between the local 6500 Union and Vale Inco. Oh….I forgot to mention there is a 10 month long strike here with Vale Inco in Sudbury, a large mining company, where there are over 3000 employees out of work because they chose to say no to all the contracts offered by the company. Am I on one side or the other? Nope! I just know that change has happened, change is happening and change will continue to happen! The challenge is…..many people dislike change and actually can’t change!
Not long ago gas was only 35 cents per litre here in Canada, that’s about $1.60 per gallon in the U.S.! Remember those days? What did we do when gas started to climb in price……we complained, we protested we even fought our governments. And now just a few short years later…..it’s what we pay at the pumps and we accept it. We may not like it, although we accept it.
The world is changing…..business is changing…..ways to develop income (secondary or primary) is changing. The days of the big corporations taking care of the employee and family for 30 years is gone. We must create our future! And everyone must look at additional income streams!
That’s why I am a serious promoter of the home based business industry, specifically Network Marketing….Internet Marketing….and Direct Sales.
So like the snow we received today, which I haven’t seen on May 7th for many years, is just confirmation to me that even the weather is changing.
So make that change! Overcome those challenges! And believe in yourself!
