Time Management

I Don’t Have The Time To Build A Home Based Business

Having a home based business is wonderful. The money potential is endless. What most people don’t understand is it takes time. For some less time than others. Time is a factor in your business building equation, and can change based on your individual situation. It’s hands down the number one reason that people believe they can’t work from home.

They just don’t feel like they have the time to do it!

Between work, family, church, friends and everything else that we have to deal with these days it seems like adding one more variable to the equation is just a recipe for disaster. It will make the equation unsolvable. However, building a business from home doesn’t have to take up a lot of your time, especially when you first get started. You can work only a couple of hours a day 5 or 6 days a week and in a year you can be in a totally different position financially than you are in right now.

I know what you’re thinking…..a year…..are you kidding that’s a long time.

I mean think about it……

You come home from work, have dinner, spend some time with the family, then off to your home office to work that two hours a day you committed to. Only two hours, that doesn’t seem like a lot of time right (although for many people it is) and you still want to work from home to be in a more positive financial situation in the future than you are right now. Here are some creative ways to get it done. For instance just getting up 30 minutes earlier each morning or skipping your favorite tv program, and working for that extra hour. Some people even take their lunch break and work in their car for 45 minutes before going back to work. There are lots of little pockets of time that you can find if you’re really searching for them.

Also, you don’t have to work Monday through Friday. If for example Monday nights are really hard for you, then take Sundays and Monday’s off and just work Tuesday through Saturday. The great thing about a home based business is that you can mold it to the life you already have.

So if you really, truly want to work from home don’t give up on the dream because you feel like you don’t have the time. FIND the time because working from home is something that can change your life forever. Imagine being home with your kids every single day! Imagine being the mom or dad who gets to go on the class trip with your kid or gets to bring lunch to school or coach the volleyball or basketball team. Hmmmm that’s me…. ?

Wouldn’t you trade 10 hours a week of your time now, to be able to spend more time with your family AND make more money in the years to come!

Do what it takes to make time for your business…. It will change your life forever.

Do You Work and have a Network Marketing/MLM Business

Balancing your Network Marketing/MLM business and your “day” job can be difficult, and you must get in the groove in order to be successful.

Once you start with MLM, you just want to dump that job and put every ounce of energy you have into your new business, right? I know I did, and found that balance is key!

Don’t be too quick to quit your job. You need that while you’re working on your business. It’s very important to keep that flow of income from your job coming in until your MLM business income overtakes your job income.

For some, this happens relatively quickly, and for others it takes more time. Right now, that job is keeping you and your family afloat while you grow your business, and remember you must keep things balanced.

Since you’ve chosen to start your own network marketing business, you’re obviously aware that it involves a lot of work. And you’ve probably already seen that there is huge potential for making money with MLM and you’re very excited and energized to get going! You want to do everything you can to transform your growing business into an established, profit-filled business right?

It’s wise to grow your MLM business to the point where it is well-established and a VERY strong money-maker before you let go of that old job. If you can be patient and work hard to get your reputation built up while growing a solid business, you’ll be in a much better position when you finally do fire your boss. Try to think very logically and take all the necessary steps, so that when you quit things will go smoothly. Your MLM career is about making your life more comfortable and successful, while helping others do the same. It’s not about making your family worry about where their next meal is coming from!

My simple formula for going full time in Network Marketing/MLM is:

(Current Job Monthly Income X 3) X 3

Meaning whatever you job income is right now, multiply it by 3 and then maintain that income for 3 consecutive months.

So when you are earning 3X your jobs monthly income in one month and you can sustain that income in your Network Marketing business for 3 consecutive months you should have built your business up enough to where it will continue to grow and allow you to go full time. How sweet will that be!

In the meantime, when you’re at your regular job, you need to be fully there. Right now, that’s your main source of income. Don’t spend your time on the job obsessing over your business. Spend your time on the job focusing on doing your best at it. Why? Because as a professional in any area, one thing you always must do is treat any job or other aspect of your life with respect by putting your best effort into it.

Likewise, when you’re working on your new business, put yourself fully into it. Don’t worry about the things you have to do when you return to your job. Don’t give your job a thought. You’re running your business. Now is the time to do the things you’ve learned to grow your business – building lists, gathering leads, writing articles, communicating with team members, furthering your own training and helping others learn.

It’s a balancing act, just like everything else in life. I know that the desire and temptation to quit your job is there. We all experience it and everyone is eager to be able to spend all their time working their business.

While you’re moving through this transition period, do your best to schedule time in every day to work on your MLM business – a couple hours each day and then more on the weekend if possible. Yes, this is a lot of work, but if you don’t grow your business you’ll never be able to quit your job.

Consider this too: you may want to save up some extra money to help you move through the actual time that you quit your job and start spending your time solely on your business. This is an especially good idea if you have a family to help support.

This is a tough period, I understand that. You’re anxious to make the move. You’re essentially working two jobs and you’re also trying to spend time with family and friends. Do all that you can to prioritize and organize your life. Use good time management practices.

Take this time to prepare thoroughly for when you’re working for yourself so that you can make the experience a completely rewarding one. This involves being a good planner and being patient. Focus on doing your very best at what you’re doing right now. And plan ahead. Learn all the ins and outs of MLM right now and brand yourself as an expert. That way, when the time comes to quit your job, you’ll be ready for running your business!

Scheduling and Calendaring For Home Business Success – Especially MLM

Being your own boss is tough, and once you understand how to run your home business you will love it!

One of the keys to being consistently productive and effective running a business is organization and the ability to schedule and calender time properly. We all like to think of ourselves as organized, but in reality, is this the truth?

Have you ever found that in spite of your best intentions, you just couldn’t accomplish everything you set out to do in a given day or week? Is it because you’re trying to cram too many things into your days and weeks, or is it because you just need to work on your organization and time management skills? Do you find that you create a schedule, and then get distracted with so many other things that you can’t finish your work?

Regardless of the reason, it’s vital to get organized! You’re not going to experience Work at Home, MLM, or Networking Marketing success until you can get your time organized. Once you manage this, you will be able to see what areas you require assistance in and which areas you can maximize.

Scheduling your time is important, and calendaring time with others is vital!

Even though some of us think that having to be organized stifles creativity, it really makes it much easier to be creative – you’re freer to create the business and life you deserve (sounds like fun when I put it that way, doesn’t it?).

So let’s talk about time scheduling:

First you need some tools. They don’t have to be elaborate or fancy, so don’t worry. You need a calendar (one with space to write things down) and a diary or journal. Once you have the tools you’ll use, you need to commit yourself to truly making use of them. This is how you’re going to begin to get organized and then stay organized. Most email clients have great tools attached to them, like calendars, journals and to do lists.

The first step to learning to properly schedule your time is to see how you’re using your time right now. This is where you will use your diary or journal. For a week, don’t change your schedule. Just keep very close track of what you do with your time. Record what you’re doing in some detail, how you’re feeling (tired, restless, alert, etc), and write down the time you start each new activity – even if it’s just taking a few minutes to chat on the phone with a friend or associate.

After one week, look at your journal. What can you learn from it? That you are spending a lot of time chatting or day dreaming? Maybe you’re spending a lot of time doing things that should be eliminated from your workday. You might be surprised to see how much time you spend on Facebook or checking email.

Look closely to find areas where there is waste. You don’t have to check your email ten times a day! You can easily reduce that amount to three times. And you don’t have to answer every phone call that comes in – in fact, if you’re working, you should eliminate the distraction of the phone – that’s what voice mail is for. Schedule time each day to return calls – and then limit the amount of time you’re on each call if you can!

Now let’s look at the tasks you must accomplish daily and throughout the week:

Make sure to include time for emails and communicating with colleges, downline members, affiliate, potential new business partners and potential recruits, along with social networking, marketing activities, etc. Keep in mind that you also must have time for your personal life, and your “day” job, if you’re still working outside of the home. Oh, and don’t forget that you have to sleep at some point!

What I like to do is to create to-do lists and prioritize them. Certain things will have to take place at certain times. They can fit into your schedule without any more analysis if you’ve deemed them necessary. Now look at what is left. Large tasks can be broken down into smaller ones – this will help you keep from getting overwhelmed.

Now here is where things get interesting! It’s time to schedule your work time, and indeed your whole life to some extent. If you’ve made notes about the times of day that you’re feeling more alert and energized (and you should have), you can start working your schedule to fit those times. You can use higher energy times for doing certain tasks, and you can also use the information you’ve collected to see if some simple rest or dietary changes might help you find more “energy” time during your day. Oh and don’t forget to exercise.

As you start to develop your schedule, keep the following in mind:

1. Stay realistic – you only have so much time each day.
2. Make sure the things that you absolutely must do are scheduled and that you’ve left enough time to complete them.
3. Don’t over-commit yourself.
4. Remember to expect the unexpected – leave some contingency time in your schedule for surprises.

Once you’ve built your schedule, understand this: remember that a schedule is fluid – it’s going to move and change, and remember that you can always go back to basics if you required – it won’t hurt to use your diary to track your habits occasionally to make sure you’re staying organized.

Oh ya….Dr. Phil says it takes 21 days to break a habit…..or something like that!

Television is a Time Waster – Grow Your Home Business Instead!

With all the cool new technology…..PVR’s, DVR’s, whatever you call them. They are hard drives that work with your television service provider that allow you to record multiple programs to watch at a later date. So stop wasting time watching television.

Turn it off!

Your television may be one of the biggest time wasters in your life, and your life is far too valuable to waste watching silly, inane programs that bring little or no value into your life and keep you from getting work done, or playing with your kids, or getting exercise, or doing other productive things.

While there are some very worthwhile programs that are presented on TV such as award winning educational shows, shows about history and science and even some programs that are light-hearted and entertaining enough to leave us feeling uplifted, there are many, many shows that are just a waste of time. That’s time that you could spend working on building your home based business, or doing other things that are fulfilling and important.

Think about the amount of time you spend each day and each week watching TV. Usually when someone watches television, they aren’t doing much else. It’s too distracting to work on business.

TV also does not count as quality time with family and friends. Sitting in front of the TV, eyes fixed on the screen, energy focused on the show that you’re watching doesn’t allow for anything that could rightly be described as quality time. Instead, you could be outside playing a game with your children, or learning a new hobby with a friend, or going for a jog together (spending time together and getting in shape!).

Do I watch TV? Yes. I watch it when I have to time to watch. When I do it’s a recorded program, like a basketball game, or movie. Our family usually has movie night on Saturday nights. Do we do that every week? No. We do it when we can.

Did you know that TV takes some vital things away from you besides time for working on your business and spending quality time with family and friends? It takes away time that you could be spending on healthy things like going to the gym or going for a bike ride (fresh air and sunshine!). Some people find that sitting in front of the television contributes to weight gain (less exercise and more temptation to snack while watching).

Plus – television watching has been found to affect your brain. Studies have shown that TV watching leads your higher brain centers to shut down. These are the areas that involve critical thinking. Other studies have shown that reading and listening to music stimulates your brain because doing these things actually forces your brain to use its creativity to visualize what’s going on, so they are better activities.

I knew AC/DC was good for my brain……you too can be Thunderstruck!

Here are some hints that can help you watch less TV, leaving you more time (and brain power) for other interests and for your business:

  • See if you can go without television for a whole week. This will help you reframe your thinking about the importance of TV watching.
  • Make a list of the shows that are important to you and that you especially like. List them in order of priority.
  • Create a TV watching schedule that allows you to watch TV for a maximum of one hour per day.
  • Find other things to do – start an exercise program, play games with your kids, start a new hobby, go on a date, work on your MLM marketing plan, write articles, work on your MLM social networking – you get the idea.
  • You really don’t have to get rid of your TV. But do put it in its place. Part of being successful in the home based business arena, MLM, Network Marketing, or whatever you call your business and especially in life is getting your priorities straight.

TV is definitely NOT a priority.

Time Management – Your Family or Your Home Based Business

    Think for a moment…….hmmmmm

What are the two most important things for your future happiness? I hope you didn’t say your collection of music and your car! Pleeeaaase No!

The two most important things for your future happiness are your family (which includes friends) and your business! Without these things you will be unlikely to achieve great financial success, and if you did you wouldn’t have anyone to share it with.

Because these two things are both so important to living a happy and fulfilling life, you want to make certain to give as much attention possible to each of them.

That’s why it’s crucial to understand (Daniel Son, wax on wax off…LOL) how to properly balance your work and family life – so that you get the most from, and give the most to, both of them.

When you think about balance, you might think about trying to keep everything perfect. 50-50. Equal. That’s good, but try to think of this instead (because it will make things easier for you) – balance is a process, and things don’t get into balance and then just stay that way. It’s something you must work at and be willing to make adjustments to.

So I’m NOT going to share with you how to create balance and give you the idea that once you’ve done that you can forget about it. I’m going to share with you how to create balance between your family and business and then how to continually keep that balance in check, knowing that some days might seem a bit out of whack one way or the other. It’s the overall effect of balance you’re striving for, along with making sure that the important things aren’t being forgotten.

While your home based business (that could be MLM, Network Marketing, Direct Sales, Internet Marketing, Real Estate, Financial, Insurance, Public Relations, or whatever) is critical to your future, your happiness and your financial well-being, you’re in business for the benefit of you and your family. You’re doing this so that you can achieve financial freedom, and the freedom to choose how to spend your time.

The two concepts of time management and prioritizing come into play when working to achieve business/family balance. Take time to list your priorities. Which business activities are must-do things? Which ones are things that would be nice to do and certainly helpful, but not vital to your ultimate success? Which can you outsource?

What about your family and friends – your personal life? What things don’t you want to miss out on? Going to your child’s basketball games? Taking your spouse out for a date once a week? Spending an evening with friends? Is it a priority to attend regular religious services, or to participate regularly in a hobby or club with friends. What can be safely set aside? Watching TV? Can you go out one night less per week?

Take a good look at what your priorities are remembering that both business and personal life will suffer without enough attention. There will be places where you’re simply wasting time and energy. Let your family and friends know that this business is something that you must pay close attention to – help them understand what your long term goals are. But keep in mind that without family and friends, your success won’t be worth it. They need your attention to.

Now look at the time you have available to spend on both your personal and home business life. See how you can schedule your time in order to accommodate both aspects. Yep, you may have to cut some things out. You may need to consider outsourcing certain tasks, or getting up an hour early to get some work done.

Remember that balance is like walking a tight rope; you have to constantly be paying attention and making adjustments so that you don’t fall to one side.

Place proper value on both your family and your home based business and let go of the things that just aren’t important. That’s how you’ll achieve balance.

The 80/20 Rule – What the Heck is that?

Many people in the Network Marketing arena loosely use the term 80/20 rule? Well, if you haven’t heard it yet, you are going to now!

The 80/20 rule is better known scientifically as the Pareto principle. Yep here comes my engineering background again. Basically, the principle is a “vital few and trivial many”. That 20 percent of something will be the driving force behind 80 percent of results. This principle or rule can be applied to just about anything.

For example, on a sports team, it’s the star players that are going to be scoring the most points and bringing in the wins. I’m sure you’ve noticed that it’s always one player that wins the game, right. Although it’s a TEAM sport, there is always that one player that chalks up the win. The other players, the ones that serve as back up, also contribute to the team’s success, but not nearly as much. There are always a few stars that contribute the most, and several back ups that contribute significantly less. This concept can be pointed directly at your home based Network Marketing or Internet Marketing business!

The 80/20 rule can be applied to your business in a couple of different ways, and you should be aware of and make use of both. The idea here is to run your business like the pulled-together, organized expert that you are. And if you don’t feel quite like an expert yet, keep working at becoming an expert!

First let’s look at the 80/20 rule as it applies to your downline. I bet you can already figure out where I’m going with this. Your downline is a resource. Your downline helps you grow your business. If you have 100 people in your downline, it’s a fairly sure bet that 20 of those people are going to account for about 80 percent of your business. 20% of your downline likely accounts for 80% of your income. And the other 80% accounts for only 20% of your income.

So what are the other 80 of your downline members up to? They’re working, too. But they may not have mastered what it means to be a top producer yet, so they aren’t bringing in the big results. They may never be star producers, but that doesn’t mean you should give up on them or kick them off the team. That only means that there is work to be done. Plus, these 80 downline members are essential for you to find your key 20!

With your top producers, don’t assume that they are fine and that they can take care of themselves and need no help or coaching. While they may be doing very well, it’s still your job to provide constant support, encouragement and training to them.

And what about the 80 percent that is lagging behind? Well, it’s time for you to kick things into high gear! First of all, remember that some people are going to be slow starters. It’s up to you to keep in touch with them and offer them as much training and support as possible. Remember that a slow starter today could be tomorrow’s star.

Next, you can apply the 80/20 rule to general work practices – of all the work you put in to your business only about 20% will account for 80% of your income. It is your responsibility to figure out and focus on the key 20%.

For both you and your downline, it’s important to take the time to look at work activities and figure out what is working well, what could be working better, and what’s taking up valuable time and producing little, if any good results.

If you find work activities that are necessary, but that are holding you down because you’re not skilled at them, or you dislike doing them, what can you do to work smarter at them? Do you need to hire help? Often, by hiring someone to help you with tasks that should be helping, but aren’t, you can increase the overall productivity in your business and turn that task into one which makes a difference.

Now, when you find a work activity that has turned into a complete waste of time, and is definitely not in the top 20 percent of results-getting business activities, ask yourself why this is and whether you just need to dump the task and focus on things that are working well.

    Make it work!

The 80/20 rule can be applied to your downline and your work ethics and tasks.

Focus on that top 20 percent that are producing 80 percent of the results.

With your downline, see if you can help some of your slow-starters get a fire burning inside themselves to become stars. And with your work ethics, take time to learn how to fine tune your tasks and work smarter, not harder.

Finding an Affordable Web Hosting Provider

Getting online and branding yourself online are two completely different animals.

Today I want to share with you the importance of affordable and reliable hosting. When you have created your website the next thing to do is to host it on the internet. What you will need is a reliable and affordable Web Hosting provider that will take care of your website. I recommend GVO. As you know, most people do not have the ability to create, manage and take care of their own web server. So, it’s best to learn this slowly and choose a consistent and Affordable Web Hosting provider that will assist with these challenges. This search is not so easy.

It is easy to browse through the search engines for the best and most Affordable Web Hosting provider. Go ahead, give it a shot…..type your request in the search bar at Google and watch thousands of companies appear on your computer screen that will provide you with Affordable Web Hosting Service with various hosting plans and different sets of prices along with their own special features. It is really typical and challenging to compare and find the exact differences between Affordable Web Hosting companies.

Would it be OK if you were referred to an excellent hosting company, by someone who has been on the Internet for more than 15 years? Most people agree that referrals from more successful people are what has allowed them to become successful themselves.

OK, let me say that you should seriously forget about Free hosting services. They are not sound as Affordable Web Hosting for any business. You will be given limited amounts of disk space and bandwidth, which will just cause challenges down the road.

Affordable Web Hosting usually runs around the 25 – 50 dollar mark on a monthy basis.

Remember that is just hosting! What about video? What about autoresponders? What about generating leads? What about a professional online office? All of these additional tools are a must have if you are going to operate a business online? Especially if you are going to brand yourself!

    Again….I recommend GVO!

Everything at a “One Stop Shop” for less than 50 bucks a month!

In the online business world, website uptime is very important! Every time your website is down, your business will suffer a loss. One of the major advantage of renting web space with an Affordable Web Hosting provider is that some one else is
responsible for maintaining your website all the time. This way you can concentrate on other business deals and most importantly marketing. Look for a hosting company with a reputation and an availability of at least 99% or better, when searching for an Affordable Web Hosting provider.

Secret…….GVO has all that and more!

Security measures should never be over looked when searching for an Affordable Web Hosting Company. Proper security measures like SSL (Secure Socket Layer), firewall, password facility; authentication technique etc. are provided with every Affordable Web Hosting plan. Maintaining a web server with an Affordable Web Hosting is not just another cup of tea for a business owner. It is also possible that as a business owner you do not have any knowledge and experience in how to create a website or blog for that matter. So, it is advisable to ensure the Affordable Web Hosting provider that you choose has expert designers for your website with technical support that will create an effective website for your company.

As I mentioned GVO has been offering the latest and most Affordable Web Hosting services at industry’s lowest prices. Our Affordable Web Hosting Company utilizes an advanced fail safe network, 100% uptime for superior speed and connectivity. So many tools your head will spin….:)

Our Affordable Web Hosting packages include virus and spam protected email. We excel in providing the clients with proficient Affordable Web Hosting solutions, reliability, affordability, and promotional discounts. We also pay you to promote us so you can get your account paid for. It is a user friendly hosting service which offers excellent support, virtual web hosting, dedicated web hosting, and reseller web hosting. You also get Video production software, unlimited autorespondesr, an online conference room (your office) and so much more! 10 Questions to ask Yourself

Have you ever thought about your future? Like where will you be in 10 years? Being all that you can be, is not only in the Army. I often see myself somewhat content with my life. Things are good! Every day I tell myself “I deserve more!” Just this one self talk moment drives me daily, and gets me up in the morning to aspire for more success in my life.

And here’s the thing. We’re all pelted with challenges. Some overcome and some submit. Honestly it shouldn’t even bother or even hinder us to becoming all we deserve to be. Aspirations as kids should continue to live within us, even though it would be short-lived or as long as we could hold on to the dream.

They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks…oh ya just watch me!

Here are 10 Personal Development questions to ask yourself. Write them down and read them regularly. That old dog will be jumping through hoops before you know it.

    1. What do I really want or deserve?

The question of the ages. So many things you want to do with your life and so little time to even go about doing them during the day right? BS….we all have the same time in a day. You must learn to schedule your time. Find something you’re good at. It will help realize that small steps towards improvement is possible. Diligence is the key to know that it is worth it.

    2. Should I really change?

Today’s generation has taken another level of redefining ‘self’, or at least that’s what the kids are saying. Having an army of teenage nieces and nephews has taught me that there are far worse things that they could have had than acne or maybe even promiscuity. So how does that fit into your lifestyle?

If history has taught us one thing, it’s the life that we have gone through. Try to see if partying Sixties, Seventies or Eighties style wouldn’t appeal to the younger generation, but dancing is part of partying. Watch them applaud after showing them how to really dance. My daughter still thinks I’m crazy everytime I get on a dance floor and “Takin Care of Business” is playing…..take that 8:15 to the city baby…..

    3. What’s the bright side in all of this?

With so much happening around us there seems to be no room for even considering that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We can still see it as something positive without undergoing so much scrutiny. And if it’s a train at the end of the tunnel, take it for a ride and see what makes the world go round!

    4. Am I comfortable with what I’m doing?

There’s always the easy way and the right way when it comes to deciding what goes with which shoes, shirt, tie, purse, and whatnot. It doesn’t take a genius to see yourself as someone unique, or else we’ll all be equally the same in everything we do. Variety brings in very interesting and exciting questions to be experimented.

    5. Have I done enough for myself?

Have you, or is there something more you deserve to do? Discontentment in every aspect can be dangerous in large doses, but in small amounts you’ll be able to see and do stuff you could never imagine doing.

    6. Am I happy at where I am today?

It’s an unfair question so let it be an answer! You love being a good and loving mom or dad to your kids, then take it up a notch! Your kids will love you forever. The same goes with everyday life!

    7. Am I appealing to the opposite sex?

So maybe I don’t have an answer to that, but that doesn’t mean I can’t try it, though. Whether you shape-up, change the way you wear your clothes or hair, or even your attitude towards people, you should always remember it will always be for your own benefit. Not to appeal to others.

    8. How much could I have?

I suppose in this case there is no such thing as having too much or too little. It’s more on how badly you really need it. Saying…I’d like to have lots of money, is fine, but the question is….how much are you willing to work for it?

    9. What motivates me?

What motivates you? It’s an answer you have to find out for yourself. There are so many things that can make everyone happy, but to choose one of them may be the hardest part. It’s not like you can’t have one serving of your favorite food in a buffet and that’s it. Just try it piece by piece.

    10. What Really Makes Me Tick?

So? What really makes you tick? You can be just about anything you always wanted to be, but to realize that attaining something that may seem very difficult is already giving up before you even start that journey. Always remember, that self-improvement is not just about the physical or philosophical change you have to undergo, but it’s something that you really deserve.

Time Management – You deserve it!

One of the most overlooked skills in the business world is time management. Without this you will never be able to achieve your maximum level of success. Time management skills go a long way in ensuring that you get all of your work done on time and efficiently. There are a couple of tips that you can follow to make sure that your time management skills are the best they can be.

    1. Keep an Activity Log to stay Focused.

By keeping a log of your daily activities you’ll soon be able to find out where you’re losing valuable time. After a couple of weeks of logging you may discover you’re taking an extra morning coffee break everyday, costing you over an hours worth of work time each week. This may not seem like a lot of time, but over the course of a year you have cheated yourself out of 52 hours of productive work time! Imagine what you could have accomplished, and how much money you could have made during that time period.

    2. Setting a Schedule Daily

Every night before I head off to bed, I plan my next day. I used to do this in a day planner, now it’s so easy to do this on the computer or even on your PA (I like to use a Black Berry….we all have our preferences). This next day schedule will help to ensure that you do not stray from your work. If you know your tasks for the day you should block out time for each one. This will assist with keeping track of what tasks you have already completed, and the tasks that still must get done.

    3. Daily Small Personal Goals

Small daily goals are a great way to make your time management skills work for you. Setting a goal that you will get an important project completed by a certain date will give you a great deal of confidence. Also, remember to reward yourself for reaching these goals. You worked hard to achieve them, and everybody deserves a reward every now and then. Golf Anyone….did I just say that out loud???

    4. Work Shops

Time management work shops can be very helpful if you are looking to improve your skills. Please ensure the work shop you want to attend is conducted by a professional in the field of time management. You may also want to suggest to your company or your whole office or even your team you’re working with online attends a work shop. Chances are you’re not alone when it comes to improving time management skills. Attending a seminar may be all you require to take your skills to the next level.

    5. Purchase Books or DVD’s

I like to read and also watch DVD’s to enhance my skills in any area. It’s so convenient, and can be scheduled into your day. Taking a minimum of 30 minutes a day to enhance yourself is a must! So please
schedule that amount of time daily for YOU! Over the past couple of years hundreds of books and DVD’s have been made available to the public on how to improve time management skills. The best thing about purchasing these tools is that you can use them over and over again.
